Your Maintenance Guide
Laminate Daily Care
Basic Laminate Care
Daily laminate care is a relatively simple process. By investing in a quality broom and putting it to work regularly, you can actively work to remove dirt, dust, and other debris that can prove harmful to your flooring. Said debris, if left to its own devices, can scratch and scrape your laminate, causing a grungy and weathered look. You may also want to mop your laminate floors with a damp mop, but be wary of leaving standing water on your floors as it could damage them.
You may also want to encourage guests to remove their shoes before walking on your laminate floors. Entry mats could also prove beneficial.
Dealing With Laminate Spills & Stains
Laminate, as a flooring material, is not especially susceptible to spills and stains. Should a mess or spill take place, the key is to address it in a timely manner to avoid damage to your laminate or the subflooring beneath it. With sticky substances or something other than a liquid mess, consult your manufacturer on best practices in maintaining your laminate floors.
